Another friend of mine whom I met two years ago on a teaching trip in Lithuania wrote to me after a long break, Vladas. He changed a lot since I last saw him, finished high school and entered the university. On the pictures Vlad is celebrating the New Year with his girlfriend Olga and friends Jurij and Natasha. In his letter he congratulates me with being married and says that family is one of the best things in the world. It was heartening and hopeful to see how family is much valued in the hearts of so young people.
